Popular Culture

Map:Popular Culture
As lifestyles changed in Taiwan, new forms of popular culture, such as pop music and films, also took shape in the country. Popular culture was propagated through two major channels: the first was media such as newspapers, and the other one was new commercial venues, such as Modern Cafés. The development of many recreational and entertainment activities took place in metropolitan areas after the 1930s.
