Map:The Transformation of Plains Indigene Cultures
During the Qing Dynasty, although plain indigenous peoples(Pingpu) were influenced by the mainstream culture and economy of the Han Chinese people, and many of their original traditions gradually receded or were lost, some still preserved numerous core elements of their culture. Many merely integrated certain aspects of Han Chinese culture into their own, thereby creating a new culture with plain indigenous'(Pingpu) characteristics.
