Map:Wangye (God of Pestilence)
The belief in Wangye originated in Southern China, and the religion's origin was related to a plague that was particularly rampant along the western coast in Taiwan. The deities enshrined in Wangye Temples had different surnames such as Zhu, Chi and Zhang, but it is not a family-specific temple.
