The Iron Age: From Migrants or Local Cultural Development?

Around more than 2,000 years ago, Taiwan entered the Iron Age. Some scholars believe that the emergence of the Iron Age can be traced to new migrants from the southeastern part of the Asian continent. On the other hand, others emphasize a continuation from the Neolithic people, arguing that the ancient inhabitants began to invent and introduce new technology to make and use iron tools. At the same time, as they began to engage in overseas trade, they were exposed to objects from different cultures, further stimulating their own cultural evolution and leading to change.
